Curiosities

You know, I'm sitting here uploading the title pic for my blog and I'm looking at it and looking at it and looking at the title of the blog and suddenly I am overcome with "did I spell abstract right?" And I know it is just from looking at the word over and over and over again, but still that didn't keep me from double checking just to be sure. It's funny how sometimes your mind can play tricks on you like that... or how sometimes you can hear a word and just barely acknowledge that you heard it - a word that seemingly has no significance to you whatsoever... and then notice it being repeated or used in daily conversation in some scenario that involves you. Take the word, "Bastardo" for example. Not even a real word. No one uses that. Yet it is in the movie "Boondock Saints" - one of my all time favorite movies. And I watched it again just the other night. Now, this Bastardo scene is a funny scene, so I chuckled and made a mental note of the word. But just barely. A few days later, I had forgotten that particular moment in time and I am watching "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart. Which I hardly ever do. But this night I am watching the show, and what does he say? "Bastardo!" I'm thinking WTF! W.T.F Universe? I mean come on. Ever since I read the book "God's Debris" (read it and you'll know what I am referring to) I have been keeping my eye open for signs, patterns, if you will. Guideposts that the Universe gives us that we may be more prepared for what is to come. Whatever that may be, but what possible significance could this possibly have? I could have easily written this off as some bizarre coincedence (even thought I don't believe in random coincedences) had I not heard the word again the next day in a conversation between two co-workers. It's little things like that which make me wonder what is really going on with the ebb and flow of the energy in the Universe. And yes, once you finish reading one or any of my posts, you will most likely be looking for my point. Don't bother. I dont' have one. :) That is all for now.
